Being a mother has taught me that I have to learn patience and I have to learn it quick. It's something all parents need with their children and I hope that I'm able to find more and more of it as time goes on. Being a mother has also opened my eyes to my own mother. My baby has drawn us close and I like that. It's nice to be able to talk to her and she finally see me as an adult, not just her child.

July 4th.
My baby's first holiday. LOL We're going to my aunts this evening for a cook out or in (depending on the rain) and fireworks (also, depending on the rain). There hasn't been much going on here other than cleaning and eating. I swear my kid eats like a horse. He's growing so big. Last time he weighed 11lbs. 12oz. and I'm sure he's gained since then. His 2m well baby check up is on Monday so we'll see how big he's gotten. A note for anyone who has a hoss baby like mine: Gerber onesies run small. If you cloth diaper then they run really small. We're going to buy 9-12m to tye-dye because if we get anything smaller he's going to outgrow them way to fast.

Specialist Appointment and a Tooth
We went to see the CF specialist on Wed. His sweat test came back negative and we're waiting to hear about the gene analysis. It's such a relief to get an answer.
My 7 week old baby is cutting a tooth. WTF??? I was born with a tooth but sheesh. He's been hell to deal with and we don't want use orajel. Sigh.

Getting nervous..
We go tomorrow to see the CF specialist. I'm getting nervous like any mother would be. I hope my baby is ok. He has no symptoms of CF and all his numbers are borderline. Hopefully the doctor will tell us that it's a wasted trip.
My baby is so funny sometimes. He was hungry today and my mom gave him his 1oz. from the bottle. After she burped him he started screaming again. I started to get ready to put him on the boob and as soon as I took my shirt off he stopped screaming and started smiling. My baby is learning that the booby means food!! He's so cute!

My very own blog...
This is my first entry so I'll give a bit of background. 6 weeks ago today I had been a mother for less than 24 hrs. My poor baby has had a rough beginning, possible cystic fibrosis (we go to a specialist on the 25th), reflux, and a dairy allergy. Since I'm breastfeeding this means that I have to go dairy free. I miss cheese so much. I went from one extreme diet change while pregnant to this. I'm also battleing post partum depression. I started a medicine called Celexa yesterday; I hope it helps.
It's amazing how big my baby has gotten. He started at 8lbs. 1oz. and as of 6-13 he was 10lbs. 6oz. It's so wonderful to know that my body has provide the nurishment to make my baby grow so much. It makes me very proud when people ask if I'm breastfeeding and I get to tell them yes.
I guess that's a decent summary of life up to now.
