Monday, if the lab is open, I have to go and have a shit ton of blood work done. GTT, insulin level, Sed rate, ANA, Rheumatoid factor, and a Hepatitis panel.

They're confirming the diabetes and trying to rule out everything before they give me a Fibromyalgia diagnosis. My liver enzymes were three times the normal rate so they're also checking for some sort of hepatitis just in case. She wants to figure out my levels are so bad.

I go back to the doctor on Wednesday. It's bittersweet actually. It's nice to know that I can finally get healthy, but it's a shock to me that I have so much wrong. It's scary because I have no health care, no real way to get health care. I'm also worried that because I'm breastfeeding, I can't take Lyrica. It's the only drug that I know of that is used to treat Fibro and I can't take it.

If I do get the diagnosis, do I wean C so that I can be healthy or do I continue to breastfeed and deal with the pain I'm in? /gaah It's so hard to know what is right. I go back next Thursday to check on my blood work and to formulate a plan on what to do next. I lost 6 lbs since Dec. 10th. I'm down to 386. My blood pressure was 112/76. I've been checking my sugar after meals and fasting and they are not good at all. I had gestational diabetes and had to be put on injectable insulin. It was horrible because even with the insulin my body didn't tolerate most foods. Hopefully with some diet modification and exercise I won't have to go back on shots.Marjorie, 24http://www.blogger.com/profile/02607937530212022685noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211023880377078883.post-49249693482380634842009-01-07T02:24:00.000-05:002009-01-07T02:25:32.041-05:00YMCA15 mins on the treadmill 126 cal. lostMarjorie, 24http://www.blogger.com/profile/02607937530212022685noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211023880377078883.post-65919071286588946452009-01-02T00:53:00.001-05:002009-01-02T00:54:38.183-05:00Four Teeth!!!/thud /thud

He popped another tooth yesterday(1-1-09). I no longer feel anxiety or depression and the best part is that I no longer feel the need to sleep all.the.time.

Jon and I went to the Y today for about 15 mins. (We didn't know the nursery was closing at 1pm.) And it was good. I like the treadmill and it will be a friend of mine. I'm hoping that we can work it in at least 3 if not 4 times a week. Jon bought a cheap pair of shoes so he could work out and I'm hoping the guilt of the purchase will keep him motivated enough to want to go often.

I really want to get into better shape so that we can live a long and happy life. We are also working on changing our eating habits but that is much much harder than going to the gym.Marjorie, 24http://www.blogger.com/profile/02607937530212022685noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211023880377078883.post-9348140060699030462008-12-17T14:13:00.002-05:002008-12-17T14:16:45.105-05:00He's crawling... run for your life!!!When did my baby boy get so big. He's crawling and pulling up and trying to stand and climbing..... /panic. (I need my HM smilies!! /lol) It seems like yesterday that I was looking into his eyes wondering who he would become and now I know... a TERROR!! He's a wild child that's for sure. I'm willing to be that he'll be walking by 9 months.

We got him a teething necklace for Christmas and it seems to be working. I knew it was going to have to go but after stubbing it twice the pain got the best of me. My husband used some rubbing alcohol and a pair of pliers to rip the son the bitch out. Now I've got a gaping hole filled with triple antibiotic ointment and a band aid. It's very frustrating because it's up to me to be able to feed my child and when I don't get enough milk he suffers. Starting tomorrow I'm going to force 100oz of water, one bowl of oatmeal, and one cup of Mother's Milk Tea a day. After a week, if it's not any better, I'm going to start with some type of herbal remedy. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them!Marjorie, 24http://www.blogger.com/profile/02607937530212022685noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211023880377078883.post-34725776470456012612008-11-10T09:05:00.002-05:002008-11-10T09:12:23.099-05:00It's fun to stay at the YMCA..Well not really stay, but swim in their pool. LOL We have a scholarship for a family membership to the local YMCA and I finally took advantage of their pool yesterday. The water was so calming and soothing. I was refreshed afterwards. That alone time was just what the soul needed. Their women's locker room is awesome with huge showers and places to change. I do need to get a pair of cheap flip flops though. At his 2m well baby check up he was 12lbs. 5oz. and was 24in. long. Wow!! Today he played with the toys that hang from his bouncy chair. He's so smart. We're having fussiness issues because of where he's already cutting teeth. He's almost always got to have a finger in his mouth. We'll get through it though! It's just a matter of time and patience.

Being a mother has taught me that I have to learn patience and I have to learn it quick. It's something all parents need with their children and I hope that I'm able to find more and more of it as time goes on. Being a mother has also opened my eyes to my own mother. My baby has drawn us close and I like that. It's nice to be able to talk to her and she finally see me as an adult, not just her child.Marjorie, 24http://www.blogger.com/profile/02607937530212022685noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211023880377078883.post-81385682077959593562008-07-04T17:49:00.002-04:002008-07-04T17:55:37.679-04:00July 4th.My baby's first holiday. LOL We're going to my aunts this evening for a cook out or in (depending on the rain) and fireworks (also, depending on the rain).
